Spalding County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, or pull official booking records. Contact the responsible public agency directly for a live answer or a record.
Choose the Records Custodian
Start with the office that created or now holds the record. The Spalding County Sheriff's Office operates the detention center and handles county booking and custody records. Its Administration Division receives and processes open-records requests.

For a booking record or photograph, ask SCSO Administration for its current written request procedure and an estimate. No dedicated booking-photo form, unique image fee, or guaranteed completion period was verified. Major Richard Phillips is listed as an administrative contact at riphillips@spaldingcounty.com. Call 911 for an emergency.
The Georgia Attorney General's open-records guidance recommends a written request under the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. sections 50-18-70 through 50-18-77. An agency should produce available responsive records within three business days or explain a timetable or exemption. That is an initial response framework, not a promise of completion. Standard paper copies may cost up to $0.10 per page, the first 15 minutes of qualifying labor are free, and an estimate or prepayment can apply above $25. Request electronic delivery when the record exists electronically. Georgia record restriction under O.C.G.A. section 35-3-37 follows a separate eligibility and agency or prosecutor process, while the Georgia Code text for section 35-1-19 addresses covered commercial publication requests. Neither rule promises automatic deletion from every official or copied source, so ask SCSO for its written correction or removal policy after obtaining the relevant court disposition.

For a Griffin incident or arrest report, use the city's Open Records page or its JustFOIA request portal. The jail booking photo is more likely held by SCSO, so a complete Griffin request may need one request to GPD for the incident or arrest report and another to SCSO for the booking sheet and image.
Use the following routes for records outside those two local custodians:
- Current custody: Search the SCSO current-inmate catalog or call the jail line. A portal result reflects the scheduled update and does not replace confirmation by the jail.
- Recent arrest events: Check the SCSO recent-arrest catalog and daily bulletin. A recent-arrest entry does not prove that the person remains in custody.
- Court disposition: Contact the Spalding Clerk of State and Superior Court, the State Court, or the county's court information page. The court file is the route for what happened after the booking allegation.
- State-sentenced prisoner: Use Georgia Department of Corrections Find an Offender for state prison custody and a photo when available. For an older or unavailable GDC record, use the GDC Open Records request page. This is not a fresh county-booking feed.
- Federal case or custody: Use PACER for federal case dockets, the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator for federal prison custody, and the ICE Online Detainee Locator for immigration custody. BOP and ICE do not provide a public mugshot gallery.
- Wanted or warrant information: Check the SCSO wanted-person catalog, the most-wanted catalog, and the Most Wanted page. A wanted entry is an outstanding process, not proof of a new arrest.
